Sympathy Card

 

Hello Everyone

I have a card to show you today.  Unfortunately, its a sympathy card for a friend who just lost a member of his family.  I feel sad whenever I have to give cards like this.  He is such a great person, I hurt for him.

I used Stampin’ Up!’s color coach to help me with a masculine color combination.  I used Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Night of  Navy.  I embossed the card with the tulip embossing folder and sponged the edges with Cajun Craze.  I used the stamp from the Thanks For Caring stamp set for the sentiment and added three beads to the right bottom.

For the decorative embellishment, I used a 1 3/4 inch by 5 1/2 inch piece of Night of Navy and trimmed each side with a decorative punch.  For the designer paper I used a 1 1/4 by 5 1/2 piece of paper from the Botanical Gazette paper pack and sponged the edges with Old Olive.

For the inside of the card, I stamped a phrase from the GOD’s Blessing stamp set on Whisper White card stock in the upper center to leave room for everyone’s signature.
